The Westminster Quarterly came in five grades beginners, primary, junior, intermediate, and senior.

History

Much of the history of this periodical is guesswork and deduction. Volume 10 was published in 1894 so Volume 1 should have been released in 1885.

This is somewhat at odds with John T Faris reports in Life of MIller
The Junior Quarterly in 1885
The Intermediate Quarterly circa 1895
The Primary Quarterly in 1901

Faris further states the quarterlies were replaced by the Graded Lessons which were introduced over the period 1903 to 1912

In Vol 10 No. 3 we learn that that beginning with that issue there was a change of format with the quarterly becoming larger with a new cover, more pictures, new songs, Bible verses and a map.

So the The Westminster Primary Quarterly was around for at least 20 years, presumably always being published four times a year. However we only have the one copy.

Volume 10 No, 3 was donated by David Fulton. Thank you David.
